Hello readers! Another week of National Football League has come and gone. The week that was brought us some surprises like the Jets win, some blowouts like the Lions losing to the Eagles, and no scorigami sadly. In this post, I will do a recap of the week's action. Let's get to work!
Week 8 Recap
Green Bay 24, Arizona 21: TW: Cardinals; CV: Cardinals
Oh man this was a good one. Aaron Rodgers would have limited weapons for this contest as Davante Adams was out on COVID-19 protocol. The veteran qb would throw for 184 yards with two touchdown passes, both of them to Randall Cobb. Aaron Jones would rack up 59 yards with a touchdown run, his longest run was for 16 yards. AJ Dillon would be the leading rusher in this game with 78 yards. Kyler Murray would fare less fortunate as he threw for 274 yards but threw two interceptions. One of them was intercepted by Rasul Douglas, a corner that had been on the Cardinals roster in the preseason but would be signed to the Packers due to the injury to corner Kevin King. The interception would be the game decider. Chase Edmonds would rush for 30 yards with a touchdown. James Conner, the former Steeler, would rush for 22 yards with two touchdown runs. The interception to Rasul Douglas was off of a pass play that Kyler Murray would throw to AJ Green. Green wouldn't even look at the ball and Douglas just snatched it like it was hard. Hopefully Murray is alright and won't be out for a long-term basis.

He would also get hurried and threw passes to guys in white and turquoise jerseys. Mike Davis rushed for 44 yards and Cordarrelle Patterson rushed for 35 yards. Calvin Ridley would not play in the game due to a personal matter relating to his mental health. Props to him for trying to take care of himself first.

Baker Mayfield would throw for 225 yards in the game after missing last week's game against the Broncos. Nick Chubb would also return and provide 61 yards including the game's longest run for 21 yards. D'Ernest Johnson rushed for 22 yards with a touchdown run. Carson Wentz would throw for 231 yards with three touchdown passes but also had two interceptions thrown to guys in a Tennessee uniform. Jonathan Taylor would finish the game as the leading rusher with 70 yards with a touchdown run. Titans kicker Randy Bullock would be the hero that the Titans needed as he would hit a field goal from 44 yards to win the game for the Titans. At least you won't have to face the Titans again Indianapolis.
TW: 5-4; CV: 4-5
Jacksonville 7, Seattle 31: TW: Seahawks; CV: Seahawks
Geno Smith would dress up as Russell Wilson for this Halloween as the backup would play like the star quarterback. Next week:
Jacksonville: vs Buffalo

New England 27, LA Chargers 24: TW: Chargers; CV: Chargers
It was a close game but it would be Adrian Phillips that would dress up as a hero for Halloween. Mac Jones saw a breakout game last week against the Jets. Jones threw for 218 yards but would throw over 50% of his passes. Damien Harris would have the leading rusher honors in the game with his 80 yards with a touchdown. It would be former Charger Adrian Phillips that would be the hero for the Patriots for his pick six would get the Patriots to a 4-4 record. Nick Folk would provide the offense for the most part for New England as he hit a perfect 4 for 4 on field goal attempts. Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert would have similar stats to his counterpart as he threw for 223 yards but Herbert would find Keenan Allen and Josh Palmer for scores. Herbert would also throw to jerseys that weren't his own team on two occasions. Justin Jackson would rush for 79 yards in the game with the game's longest run for 75 yards. Austin Ekeler would 64 yards with a touchdown run, with a 28-yard run play being his longest. Definitely seemed like a win that the Chargers let slip away but the Patriots made the plays to win a game.

Who the heck is Cooper Rush? Apparently the Vikings didn't know about him either. The product out of Central Michigan would make the most of his opportunity with 325 yards with two touchdown passes while having a pass intercepted by former Cowboy Xavier Rhodes. The Cowboys wouldn't be able to give a lot of holes to Ezekiel Elliot but would find a respectable 50 yards rushing in the game as well as 23 receiving yards. Kirk Cousins would throw lesser yards than his counterpart as he threw for 184 yards in the game. Dalvin Cook would be the leading rusher in the game as he racked up with 78 yards with a 19-yard run being his longest in the game. Definitely seemed like a game that the Vikings let slip away and how do they let an unknown quarterback beat them like that?
